I am doing well. Thank you for the Beanie and gloves! I assumed that was you. It didn't say since it came from amazon. The gloves are a little small. I accidently threw the box away so I don't know if you can return them or anything. I probably will just wear the other gloves I have although those ones seemed nice. Do you want me to send them home so someone else can use them? The beanies are great though. I will be much warmer now. Thank you! And elder Ludwig wants the link so he can send it to his mom cause he wants one. We don't share an apartment. No one in the mission does except a few small exceptions. I guess there was too many problems with people living together. We switch off with the car every week so the other elders will have it this week and we will get it again next week. Elder Ludwig has been out 17 months. At the end of this transfer he will have left what I've been out and vise versa. I haven't heard from anyone in the last area. I just got Kris and Christina's emails so I will try to email them today.
Elder Arnold did come to our stake. Sis. Biggs emailed me and said he is the one who called president Kerr and Sam and Bro Schneider Four years ago. There is no way that was four years ago. That was maybe one year ago. Maybe. I don't remember the sister's name. That's cool There is a sister from here there. Let me know what ward she is in. Do you remember a sister Chase who served there? She was there when I got my call and she came by to talk but I wasn't home. Well her parents are in our ward and so we stopped by last night and she was there. So that was cool to see her and talk about Mesa.
That sounds like a fun Thanksgiving! You guys will have to take pictures and send them to me! I will be at the Rebertsons for Thanksgiving dinner. We only have the one dinner. The rest of the day is a normal proselyting day except we were told to avoid tracting and focus on appointments, street contacting, and service. And that is cool about Josh getting the turkey recipe. You learn all kinds of things on a mission.
Yes I did get the boxes. My gloves are a little worn but they still work well. I think I will be fine with the coat I have for now. I'll keep you updated. And yea sweaters could be nice. I guess that is what I want for Christmas. Clothes. It got pretty cool these past two days. I think winter might finally be here. But I am staying pretty warm for now.
I have a flash drive that I play music off of. We have a dvd player that can play music off of a flash drive in every apartment and most of the mission cars can do it as well so if you want to email it or send CD's either one will work. The ipod is holding up although I don't really use it because I pulled all the music off it and put it on my flash drive. So I may send that home when I gather enough stuff to warrant getting a box.
That message is so true and a great reminder. I had skim read it but it is always good to here. I really liked the idea of running with our torch still lit. I am always trying to do that. I really liked what was said in conference this past October about how when we listen to the holy ghost then we receive more promptings. As we act in faith then we receive blessings and revelations it's not the other way around. I think it was what lack I yet but I'm not sure I will have to double check.
This past week has been good. We have just been trying to implement more of what we learned last week with Elder Arnold. Oh I also found out Elder Dudley of the Seventy is in our ward and we ate dinner with him last night so that's two general Authorities I have shaken hands with in one week. So This next week I expect to shake hands with an apostle. ;) But other then that it was a normal week. We had to clean our carpets Thursday so That was a bummer. Less prosyliting time. But we also got a new investigator that day so it was good. His name is Eric. He is in the navy and he seems pretty promising. He has attended the Jamestown ward a few times and expressed he is very impressed by the church and has felt the spirit a number of times. He was at the sisters baptism yesterday so that was great that he got to see that. Well I got to get going. Ask me questions about the week. Love you and wish you the best this week.
