Hey! How's AZ? I do remember those mornings going to swim. Good times Good times. That's good that Hunter is paying the rides forward. He is awesome. You should tell him to write me if you ever see him. I'll also tell Tate to in my email to him since he will probably see hunter before you do. That's crazy that Tate will be driving in a year. He will have almost a full year of driving experience before I get back! course that's probably a good thing that I'm not there when he is learning ;). There are a few pictures with me in them this week but it's hard finding times to take pictures of myself. I'm not really a selfie guy. And it's only me and my companion so there is no one else to take our picture.
The mission conference was really good though. There is a powerful spirit when 180 missionaries are all together in the chapel of the church. I did meet Elder Murray and we got a picture together. He didn't have his camera though so I said I would have you send the picture to his mom. Could you do that for me? and I also saw Elder Funk and got a picture with him. He seems to be doing really good and liking it out here. I think he said he is with a Spanish elder this next transfer and they are teaching English and Spanish lessons. So I thought that was interesting. He is going to have no clue what’s going on in the Spanish lessons. The mission conference topic was the atonement of Jesus Christ and some teaching trainings and He announced a book of Mormon read. The Atonement of Jesus Christ part was really powerful. He made a little chart of how things were before the fall of Adam and after the Fall and the positives and negatives of each. Then he had a third column that was because of the atonement and in that column there was only the positives of each before and after the fall. It really bore testimony to me of the perfectness of god's plan and how it is centered around the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The Atonement makes it possible for us to have all of the good with none of the bad. I am also excited for our Book of Mormon read. We are reading it marking the doctrine of Christ (Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the end) and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We are doing about 7 pages a day and should be done in two transfers or three months.
We did do a lot of service again this week. We were helping people move some more and cutting down trees and chopping fire wood. It was a busy week because of all the service. I was so tired yesterday and am so grateful that we have the Sabbath as a day of rest and are promised that if we keep it holy then we can be ready for the next week. Without it I would be exhausted. I probably wouldn't have been able to get out of bed this morning ;). But it was way worth it. I love service. It is way better than the alternative of knocking doors. Although I think we are probably going to be doing that a lot more these next couple weeks. Things seem to be slowing down a little.
That great that Kaden was baptized and that everyone was able to make it to his baptism. Baptism is such an important step. It is the gateway to getting back to our heavenly father.
Our investigator seems to be doing pretty good. We are thinking that we need to start focusing on the book of Mormon with him. He seems to be having faith in God now and gaining a better understanding of Christ and the Atonement. Now we want him to gain a testimony of the book of Mormon. The book of Mormon is so important to our conversion. It truly is the keystone of our religion. If the book of Mormon is true and is from god then everything else will fall into place. Joseph Smith would have to be god's prophet and the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints would have to be god's church here on the earth.
That's awesome that Alena was able to skype home. So does that mean they get three calls a year? cause that's not fair. haha and that's crazy that Trevor and Savanah are already home. They just left! Well I guess that was two years ago but still that was just like yesterday.
Thanks for the pictures! that glacier looks so cool! It's way blue! We will have to go In two years when I get back.
It has been cooler these past couple of days. We had a few storms last week and it’s been overcast since so I haven't been sweating every time I walk outside. I will let you know when it start to get chilly and then you can send me some winter stuff. Also when you send that you could send me those addresses and the flashlight and maybe some tide to go. I can't find that at Walmart. It isn't with the rest of the tide products. Oh and a pocket knife. I think I have a silver pocket knife in my box in my closet. I don't want my Alaska one here though. Any other one should work. Well that's all I've got for now. The first picture of me was right after my hair cut. I sent one last week of me right before. I'm still trying to decide if it is ok. I’m not a huge fan of how she cut it on my part side. I feel like if I parted my hair it would be ok but I don't want to part my hair. so we'll see how that goes. Choose the right! Love you!
