Thanksgiving sounds like a blast for you guys. Wish I could have been there. We will definitely have to do that again in a couple years. Disney World wouldn't be too bad. We can hit it on the way home from Virginia. ;) That's also good about the back pack. That could have been bad if someone walked off with it.
I am excited for Christmas! I would count decorating a tree as service. I hope people ask us to help them decorate. That would be tons of fun! Christmas is just such a happy time of the year and it is so easy to talk to people about Christ and how we can recognize him this time of year. What does everyone want for Christmas? that I can get and send or have you buy. did you draw names yet? Shannon said you did but you didn't send me who I had so... could I get that? Are you just going to shop for me? There are only like three pdays left. wow Christmas is just around the corner.
The black beanie is warmer but I like the way the grey one looks. The earmuffs work great under the grey beanie so that makes it warmer. So I'll probably keep and use both. I might send the gloves home though. I think I might finally have enough stuff for a box.
Things here have been going good. Our Thanksgiving was planning our week and then dinner with the Robertson's and hanging with them for the most of the day. Kinda low key but it was good. It was nice to be able to relax and visit with them. We also had two exchanges this past week which was probably my favorite part. I love going on exchanges. Especially when I am the one leaving the area. It is nice to be able to just follow the other missionaries lead and you learn so much from going out with other missionaries. Everyone does something different well. So you can learn from every one. I really learned and we have really been focusing on as a mission the importance of and how to more effectively work with members. We have had some really great lessons with members recently. When Elder Arnold came this was something he focused on. Also we are going to be splitting our area with the sisters. No set of missionaries are suppose to have the same areas anymore in our mission. And we were told to have a ward missionary assign people to feed us in our assigned areas instead of passing a sign up sheet around now. That way we eat with different people and we could eat with less actives. I think it will be a little hard at first with these changes but after a while it will be better. We might be dropping a couple investigators this week or in the near future because they aren't willing to keep commitments. I never like that. Dropping people is the worst but I see why it is necessary. And We were told to not be afraid to drop people who aren't ready at our mission tour by Elder Arnold so We will see how that goes. It may be a couple weeks though. We kinda have a do or die lesson planned. So hopefully he does. But we are getting a lot more referrals and potential investigators so Hopefully they will pull through and we will have more investigators that I can talk about.
Well All in all things are going good. Keep me posted with you guys and the holidays and life. I wish you the best this Holiday season. Can't wait to talk to you on Christmas. Love you so much.
Love
