Dear Mom, The leaves are starting to change now. I took some pictures so you can see a little. That's good it is starting to cool down. It is starting to get cold here. This last week it has dropped a lot in the evenings. It got to like 37 last night and in the afternoons it is like 70 so it's getting pretty cool. That's exciting about the eagle project! I'm glad he could get that going and wish you guys luck this next week. I didn't get the picture of kinzie. It said you uploaded things but when I checked it they weren't there.
Welcome Kyle Groberg home for me! That's great he came to help you Marlee and Kyle move. That's a bummer Cody's dad was sick. I emailed Cody last week but there was no response this week. Do you know if he is still in Utah? So the picture of the picture of the canyon has a back story. You need to show Tyler that picture and ask him if it is the Statue of Liberty and tell me what his response is. :) Also That old Friend Magazine I remember coming out and dad reading that snow story to me on a Sunday. Crazy those little things you remember. I was like 10 when that came out. It was october 2006.
That's a great learning experience at Panda's. That is so true that starting to practice talking to people now will help so much on a mission. And I think that is great that you guys did a role play! I wish I had talked to more people before the mission. I am working on that right now. I only really have one approach so we have been focusing on saying different things and trying different approaches. It would be great if you came out on the mission already knowing a few ways to just start and have conversations with people you don't really know. That is the hard part for me. If we are talking I can usually turn it towards the gospel but I have a hard time just getting conversation going.
Our investigators are doing ok. There Hasn't been very much progress from the beggining of the transfer but we were actually able to meet with most of them and at least saw all of them where as the last couple weeks we only saw a couple. So that was really good. We also went on exchange and so While on exchange we taught Two new people in the other area. And Elder Fullerton started teaching one of our investigators Brother. We also met a women on the street who seemed very interested and so hopefully we can meet with her and she will start investigating. I think
The biggest challenge for our investigators and even the less actives is coming to church. A lot of them have testimonies of the gospel and the book of Mormon but we can't seem to get them to understand the importance of church. One of our investigators doesn't want to go because he is disabled and doesn't want people looking at him another one I think just forgets because he has Aspergers and then Kris doesn't really see any church or title as important so much as just having Faith. So we are working with all of them and trying to think of ways to show why going to church and specifically our church is important. So we will probably have a lot of lessons on the Priesthood and the Sacrament Coming up.
Well this coming Saturday will be exciting. It is our transfer call day and so I will find out if I am going to be staying or leaving next Wed. It is also our fall Festival that the Ward is putting on so That should be fun and there should be lots of people for us to Talk to. Also we have quite a bit of service lined up with raking leaves and laying mulch doing yard work and moving a member. So we should be pretty busy. I just hope we can meet with everyone. We haven't been able to talk with Gordan for a week now so I hope he is doing all right. His mom passed away a couple weeks ago so he hasn't been to church since priesthood session of conference. And we haven't been able to set up to meet with him for any new convert lessons. So hopefully we can get a hold of him and meet with him. Well Keep up the good work back there. I wish you the best this next week and look forward to seeing the pictures of the Eagle project and Kinzie if you can resend those. Thanks for all the love and support. Love you! Love Elder Aaron King
