Dear Mom,
That new years sounds like a lot of fun! That pie game looks way fun! I want to try it! make sure you save me a piece of pie for when I get home. It'll be one of the first things we do! ;) And yea it's not to hard to find Sabbath worthy activities to do. I can give you tons of ideas if you need them. That's just about all I do! :)
That's way awesome the Udalls and Marlee came home this last week. Welcome them home for me. That's funny Addison missed carpet so much but Yea know that I think about it it is really nice. And that's awesome about them planning on going to BYU. BYU is a good school. There are actually quite a few people out here who went to or are going to BYU. Which kinda surprised me since it is so far away.
Our investigators are doing pretty good. We just split ours and the sisters area for sure now. It was split before but it changed and now I think it is final. So we will be switching some investigators and other people we were working with. We got the better end of the deal for now. but I think in a couple more transfers they will have a pretty solid area. Probably better than ours. We were able to meet with a few last week and we are hoping this week will be even better. We have quite a bit of area book work to do since we split with the sisters. We are still on track for the baptism. He had his interview this past week and everything went well. He is way excited as are we. And he is even more excited to go to the temple and do family history work. Which is even more exciting. Baptisms are sweet but the temple is even sweeter. Our other investigators are about the same. Not a whole lot of progress with the ones we met with and I assume the others as well since we didn't meet with them. but we will find out this week.
And yea miracles are happening all around even at the post office. ;) We just have to have faith and look for them.
My new years resolutions are to read from the book of Mormon every day and to just be a better missionary and improve daily. Your goals are good ones. I'm excited for our crazy adventure when I get back so you guys better be ready. There are already a million things I want to do and I'm sure you guys are keeping track of things for me as well. That's great you are going to be able to pay off some of those debts. Debt free by 2017? is that the goal? My mission goals are going good. I am still improving. It's all about the direction. ;) and we are studying preach my gospel as a mission. It is incredible! I love preach my gospel! It has so many great insights in it. Any question I have I feel like can be answered in that book. One good way to study I have been told is to buy a hard cover book of Mormon and pick a topic and read through it just focusing on that topic. and marking it on that topic. Then when you are done you get a new one and do it with that one. And over time you will have a library of book of Mormons each focused on a topic that you can use to prepare talks and lessons. I have a few other study goals I am working on right now but then I think that is how I am going to study.
That's super exciting and fun Elder Allred dropped by. He was such a great missionary! I'm am super grateful for his service. He was a big part of me deciding to go on a mission. Is Catie porter related to the porters like Alena porter? Do you know if she has a younger sister my age? I'm not sure who that is but there were three porter families with girls my age I went to school with. Also do you have Elder allred's email?
Well I've got to get going but I love you and wish you the best.
Love
Elder Aaron King
